Marabu EasyColor is an easy-to-use batik paint that produces intensely bright colors on finish-free textiles made of cotton, linen, silk, viscose and mixed fabrics with up to 20% synthetic fiber content. It is also suitable for children and hand washable up to 30 °C. Thus ideal for projects in school and leisure. With Marabu EasyColor you can perform all hand dyeing and reserve techniques such as wax batik, setting and folding technique (Plangi), sewing technique (Tritik) as well as Dévoré dyeing (so-called "two-dye technique"). The content of a 25 g package is sufficient for intensive dyeing of 150 g fabric. For fabric quantities up to 300 g, medium to delicate d yeings are achieved. The dyed textiles should be washed separately with color-preserving mild detergent at max. 30° C or ideally by hand. A color fixer improves the washability, but does not guarantee absolute wash fastness. The original color shades are only achieved on white textiles. On colored textiles, the result is a mixture with the base color.
This is how easy it is to achieve the perfect dyeing process:
For an intense dyeing, fill 3-5 l of boiling water into a large vessel so that the fabric can move freely. For a medium to delicate dyeing (up to max. 300 g fabric) use 7 l water.
Stir in the contents of the sachet and dissolve. Add 1 tbsp. table salt per 1 l of water. For silk, add an additional 50 ml of household vinegar.
Wet the fabric with lukewarm water, squeeze slightly and place in the dye liquor. For wax batik, allow the temperature to cool to 40-50 °C.
Dye for at least 20 minutes and keep moving the fabric during this time.
After dyeing, rinse the fabric with cold water until the water remains clear. Allow silk to cool slowly before rinsing. The dye liquor can be stored for several days in a clean, closed container and should be heated to at least 40 °C before the next dyeing process. The higher the temperature, the more intense the dyeing.
